To celebrate our first birthday, we invite you to gamble on the Aviary Stock Exchange.
Ever wanted to dabble on the stock market? Well now's your chance! On Friday 28th November, we transform into The Aviary Stock Exchange. As the price of alcohol rises and falls, so does the Aviary Exchange Rate (AER) meaning if you buy at the right time, you might get your entire round on the house! If you buy at the wrong time, you might be taxed an additional charge for the bartenders tip box! Everything is to play for on the stock exchange.
How it works.
The night starts as usual at 5:30pm when we open the Aviary stock exchange. Our traders on the floor (the bartenders) will be buying and selling their shares in the alcohol industry. When the price of the stock begins to tumble, they will need to clear as much stock as possible, as quickly as possible.
During the evening, you will hear the stock market bell ring frequently, signalling that the traders need to offload stock at a cheap price. The trading floor manager will announce the deal over a microphone and tell you how long it is on for, this could be just a few minutes, or up to half an hour, or more.
The digital stock market clock in the centre of the bar will indicate the time until the market changes, when it counts down to zero when the deal ends.
If you successfully place your order before the clock hits zero, the discount is yours. If you miss it, you miss out!
